ARTIST'S
STATEMENT
After graduating from RISD
in '94, I began creating work full time in my studio as
well as teaching "part-time".
I know what matters to me is my creative work, my art
work; I would much rather create than make/construct.
I have found that if this creative aspect is not fulfilled,
all other intensions suffer.
Two years ago I began creating a series of sculptural
expressive forms; shapes that continue to present themselves
to me through the making process or while spending time
in nature. This year I returned to the creative work "full-time".
I am creating in solid wood so as to honor Tradition and
Form.
